Five Business Laws You Should Commit to Memory

Mary Gersten, who is part of the well-known Global Cash Flow Network, devised a list of five powerful business laws that everyone should know. If you haven't read Mary's insightful article, I wholeheartedly recommend that you do so at your earliest available opportunity.

I wanted to go over those five laws personally, adding my perspective on each of them. I hope that these five great guidelines will resonate with you the way they have with me!

HONESTY: Your integrity is the cornerstone of your business. Don't weaken the foundation of your enterprise by engaging in any questionable or dishonest behavior. Provide the best you can and don't be afraid of the consequences associated with the truth. If you can run an honest business, you'll develop a fantastic reputation and a secure customer/client base.

INFORMATION: If you don't know what's going on around you, it's tough to run your business successfully. You should make a point of staying on top of new trends and developments. If you snooze, you really do lose.

OPEN-MINDEDNESS: So many people miss tremendous opportunities to grow their businesses because they close their mind to new ideas and approaches. Never let yourself become one of those close-minded people, and you'll always be ready to create new successes.

COURAGE: Running a business isn't for the faint of heart. You have to make decisions and some of them will be tough. That's why it's so important to be courageous. If you don't have what it takes to make 'the call' when it needs to be made, it's going to be heard to advance your business.

FUN: This is my favorite of the five business laws. Gersten says that having fun with your business is incredibly important and I couldn't agree more. It's one of the best ways to improve your outlook and to maximize your motivation.

Those are the laws. Learn them. Follow them. Commit them to memory! These five business laws are the kin of overarching guidelines that help to supply form and direction to any business. When you're being honest, gathering information, keeping an open mind, being intelligently bold and having a good time, it's hard to imagine anything other than success!
